  • The 4th Annual Southwest Military Transport Show hosted by the Commemorative Air Force Museum at Falcon field and sponsered by the Arizona Historical Military Transport Association will be open to the public Saturday, April 5, 2008 and Sunday, April 6, 2008. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Location is Commemorative Air Force Museum (Falcon Field), 2017 N. Greenfield Road (NE corner Greenfield/McKellips), Mesa, AZ.

    On display will be a large variety of historical military vehicles, aircraft, and various military artifacts. Besides the vehicles and aircraft, the event includes a swap meet, vendors, and food. The entire family should find this event fun and exciting. Veteran organizations interested in having a booth (free) may contact Dave Boehmer, Events Co-Ordinator at AHMTA@cox.net or (602) 292-4231.   • Freedom Inn hosts VA Talk - Martha Alderman, a benefits counselor with the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, will discuss a benefit of the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs that can provide money for assisted living housing and health care among other expenses. This presentation, titled “Veterans Benefits and Assisted Living,” will be delivered on Thursday, Nov. 15, at 9:30 a.m. at Freedom Inn at Sun City West, located at 13810 West Sandridge Drive.
